Thoughts about Yes!

As I say yes to life, life says yes to me.
Louise Hay

When we learn to say a deep, passionate yes to the things that really matter, then peace begins to settle onto our lives like golden sunlight sifting to a forest floor.
Thomas Kinkade

One way we can know that we are aligned with the life force that is God is that we feel more and more alive. Notice what gives you aliveness and what diminishes you, deadens and numbs you so that you only skim the surface of life.  Begin to say yes to what quickens and energizes, to that which brings joy and gratitude. Mary Manin Morrissey

Saying yes means getting up and acting on your belief that you can create meaning and purpose in whatever life hands you.

The Power of Yes!

What happens once you start to say “Yes!” more often in life?

Some pretty cool stuff starts happening in your life, in ALL areas of your life.

Three years ago, the three of us – Tara, Heather and Pat – all said Yes! to going on the Bob Proctor Caribbean Cruise, which is where Just Say Yes! all began. You can click here to read how one Yes! just kept leading to another and how we all came to experience the Power of Yes!

One word changed all of our lives. Yes! is like that. It opens doors of opportunity, it awakens dreams and it energizes your life in entirely new ways.

While on the cruise, Tara and Pat were invited by a fellow traveler to join him at an exclusive resort property. Of course they said Yes!, even though it meant sneaking into the pool area ;-) , In the process Tara got to fulfill a lifelong dream to swim with the dolphins. For free.

In the months that followed, Tara also fulfilled another lifelong dream when she said Yes! to finishing her newest fictional book which was later picked up by Hay House Publishing. That was worthy of a cartwheel or two.

When she left the cruise, Pat had realized that saying Yes! had opened her heart to a realm of new possibilities that she’d not considered before. She said a big Yes! to her inner voice and to having the life she’d always wanted and deserved. She let go of negative emotions that no longer served her. She let go of the past since it didn’t serve her either. She said Yes! to traveling to Sedona for a healing and spiritual journey and returned  home with a sense of peace and happiness that she’d never had before.

And some amazing things happened after that. New career and business opportunities began to come her way. Sales in her business increased with no changes in her marketing or advertising. Extra weight she’d been carrying for years began to disappear and she’s healthier and happier than she’s ever been.

Heather’s life took off in many ways too. A few months after returning from the cruise she said Yes! to creating the kind of life she truly wanted. She sold her house, most of her belongings, bought an RV and fulfilled a lifelong dream to travel across Canada. After a year on the road, she returned to Ottawa briefly but realized that her heart belongs in the west and now happily calls Vancouver Island home. She is also in the midst of fulfilling another dream, finishing and publishing a book about her adventureh.

These are just a few examples of the kind of impact and power that saying Yes! can have. It’s truly transformative which is why we started Just Say Yes! – because we’d each experienced the Power of Yes! and wanted to share it with as many people as we could!

Of course the big irony that has us all smiling at the moment is that we NEVER could have imagined that after saying Yes! to going on the Bob Proctor Cruise that three years later, Bob Proctor himself would be saying Yes! to coming to our event!

But that’s the Power of Yes! It just keeps adding to your life in fun, expansive ways that you never could have imagined otherwise.

If you’d like to add some Yes! power to your life, then join us AND our featured guest speaker, Bob Proctor on November 19th in Ottawa at Just Say Yes!

Beam Me Up Scotty

He was Captain of his Starship. He was Ruler of the Galaxy. He was Master of his Universe.

He was Captain Kirk, Commander of the USS Entreprise. When he wasn’t off in a far-away galaxy battling those pesky Klingons, he wassimply known as William Shatner.

Apparently the Captain’s first rule in life is to “say yes“. It’s such an important rule that it’s the very first chapter in his upcoming book.

Oh Yes!! You’re going to want to read what Captain Kirk has to say. So just click here.

Wouldn’t you like to be as powerful as Captain Kirk?!! Would you like to be beamed up to a new galaxy where you too can be Master of Your Universe?! Do you want to boldly go where you’ve never gone before?!

As the Captain says, the first rule is to say yes.

And there will be no better place to learn about how harness the YES! power than at Just Say Yes! Ottawa on November 19th, 2011.

Meet Tara, Pat and Heather….AND get an inside scoop

Meet Tara and Pat!!

Tara and Pat were interviewed on Ottawa’s A-Channel News in 2009 when we first launched Just Say Yes! Here they are discussing the event with Kurt Stoodley…

You’re probably wondering whether Heather is aren’t you? Why wasn’t she in this video?

Well, here’s the inside scoop……….

She had just flown in to Ottawa from Vancouver Island and was very tired at the end of a long day. She was so tired, in fact, that she forgot to adjust her clock and thus, accidentally set her alarm to wake her at the wrong time.

So instead of Heather’s alarm waking her that morning it was Pat’s cellphone that woke her when Pat called at 6:00 a.m. wondering where the heck Heather was. Heather had simply said “Yes!” to getting more sleep.

Meet Heather!

But here’s a picture of Heather when she’s awake so you can see what she looks like.

It was probably best that she missed the interview anyways. Heather is not a happy camper when she doesn’t get her full eight hours of sleep!

The “Yes!” Domino Effect

It began innocently enough in the Fall of 2008. Each of us – Heather Pardon, Pat Armstrong and Tara Taylor – had been invited on a Caribbean Cruise by a mutual friend. We’d not yet met each other but our fates were sealed the moment each of us enthusiastically accepted the invitation and said “Yes!”.

It was the first of many “Yeses” that changed our lives and the beginning of the “Yes!” Domino Effect.

It was kind of crazy when we think back on it. We’d received the invite early one week and needed to be in Florida the following week to board the ship. Work and clients had to be re-arranged, pets had to be boarded, passports had to be updated and plane tickets had to be purchased. Yet to each of us, no just wasn’t an option.

Yes!” felt like the right answer. How could we say no to going on a cruise hosted by Bob Proctor that offered four days of some of the top inspirational speakers in the world?  On a gorgeous ship as we sailed the Caribbean!?

I supposed that we could have come up with the usual excuses. We shouldn’t go, we don’t have the money saved. We can’t take time off work. Oh, that’s far too luxurious for me, what will my friends and family think?

But that wouldn’t have been fun would it? It certainly wouldn’t have been what we truly wanted.

The three of us met on the cruise and hit it off faster than you can say “Waiter, get me another margarita!”

While sitting poolside together one day, having fun, we decided on a whim that we were going to simply say “YES!” to anything and everything that came along that day. Heck, we’d already said “YES!“  to being on the cruise that we figured we’d just keep rolling with it!

Want a coffee? “YES!

Want to go swimming? “YES!

Want some dessert? “Oh, YES!!!”

We had no clue what those three letters could do, or where they would take us, when we first started playing around with the idea.

But as the day kept getting better and better, we began to realize just how often most of us totally deny ourselves the things we truly want in life – things large and small. We may have many aspirations and desires … but feel conflicted because of the many demands placed on us from work, spouse, children, parents, chores, and more.

We just say “No” to ourselves and our deepest desires so often.

It becomes a habit – one we keep falling back on until our “dreaming muscles” begin to atrophy, and we eventually just give up on ALL our dreams.

Well, that one day of saying “YES!” completely transformed every one of us. We had so much fun and felt such a surge of energy and enthusiasm.

What began as a lark quickly grew into a realization of the incredible power we could have in all areas of our lives simply by saying “Yes” more often.

We also had NO idea how much our lives would change in the months to come. All because we began to say “YES!” But more on that in a future post……

We knew that we wanted to share this power and energy with as many people as we could. We wanted more people to experience the transformation that saying “Yes!” can make in all areas of your life. We wanted to empower others to say “Yes!” too and to start living a life that they truly LOVE.

And Just Say Yes! was born.

One “Yes!” and one day can truly change your life. “Yes!‘, it’s that simple.

We hope you’ll join us at Just Say Yes! 2011 in Ottawa on Saturday, November 19th, 2011. Event details and registration at www.justsayyesevent.com. Early-bird ticket pricing in effect only until October 30th!
